One of our favourite music festivals, Calgary Folk Music Festival is just around the corner. It’s the perfect event to discover new music, soak up the sun, and drink all the sangria. On top of that, it’s also the best time to show off your style game for all of YYC to take note. We know you’re going to want to be comfortably cool, but you’re not going to want to compromise your style either. So we gathered up some fashion inspiration for you, shot on location at PARK SALE, that will up the fashion ante and help you slay your festival look.

This look not only gives off festival vibes, but it is also super sleek. The printed button up gives the outfit a dressier feel, but by rolling up the sleeves and pairing it with the subtle plaid vest, dark denim jeans, and patterned tie helps to keep it casual cool. The addition of the gold deer pin from Adesso Accessories adds an element of folk, without looking like you tried too hard. This look is versatile, as it can easily take you from lounging in the beer gardens, to rocking in the bourbon room for the afterparty.

This outfit screams boho chic. The bold, colourful paisley print is the perfect backdrop for a music festival. The flowy nature of the Gypsy Soul romper will not only keep you comfy and cool from dusk to dawn, but you’ll also be able to easily hide all the treats you’ve chowed down on, which is a serious win/win. Plus the orange poncho is a great piece to layer should the sun set a little too soon. Accessorizing with the choker necklace and adding the coloured lip, keeps the look on trend, giving it next-level vibes.

Blake from Seed Yoga nails down the  perfect folk fest and chill weekend look. The bright red Seed Yoga pants are great for lying down in the grass, and their baseball tee is nice and light for those sizzling summer days. This outfit will have you looking effortlessly cool, so all you have to worry about is making the tough decision of whether you want a dark or pale ale.

For those of us who love all black everything, but still want to look festival ready this outfit by Travis Taddeo is calling your name. The black bandeau paired with the black tank is perfect for getting swept up in the crowd. The leather shorts add an element of rocker chic, but the drawstring waist and masculine cut prevent you from sweating bullets. This look is so killer, you’re going to be gramming it all night long.

We don’t want to be the ones to say it, but there’s a good chance one of the festival days will be overcast –this is Calgary after all. Should this prediction come true, you’re going to want to be prepared because there’s no way it should stop you from jamming out all night long. This Sunday Clothing Co. sweater will not only keep you warm and cozy, but you’ll still manage to look on point too.

By pairing the classic crisp white buttonup with layered gold necklaces, you easily take the look from 0 to 100, real quick. The black blazer pulls it all together, giving festivalgoers plenty of reason to do a double take.

When it comes to accessories in order to keep your festival look on trend for summer 2016, you’ll want to go for lots of layering. This means stacking rings like the ones above from Tink., layering bangles, and piling on a mix of chokers and leather wrap necklaces from Katreenah Jewellery. With a freshly done nails and a summer glow, there’s no way you can go wrong.
